What's New for the 2024 Kia Forte?
The new Kia Forte is a carryover model from last year. As such, there are no changes to the model's design, performance, or technology.
Design
Other than a unique front end, the Kia Forte looks like a standard sedan. The interior, on the other hand, is far more impressive. Propelling the new Forte is two powertrain options. There's a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that outputs 147 horsepower and 132 lbs.-ft of torque. And a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that can produce 201 horsepower and 195 lbs.-ft of torque. The base 2.0-liter comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). At the same time, the more powerful 1.6-liter engine is available with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (GT) or six-speed manual.

According to the EPA, models equipped with the base engine and the automatic transmission get an estimated 30 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, with a combined fuel economy of 34 mpg. However, shoppers who opt for the turbocharged GT with the manual transmission will see the combined fuel economy drop to 26 mpg.
Technology
As you get behind the wheel of the new Kia Forte, you'll find that a standard eight-inch infotainment touchscreen rests on the center dash. This display offers Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. However, in models like the GT-Line and GT trims, a larger 10.3-inch display is offered, and it has in-dash navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. Additionally, all models also feature a secondary 4.2-inch color display between the gauges and an optional wireless smartphone charging pad.
